چکیده

This Letter presents an accurate and stable method for the solution of transient electromagnetic response from conducting wire structures with the use of the time-domain electric-field integral equation (TD-EFIE). By using an implicit scheme with the central finite difference for the TD-EFIE, the transient responses from a wire scatterer illuminated by a plane wave and a wire antenna with an impressed voltage source are obtained. Also, a wire above a conducting plate is considered. Numerical results that show the validity of the presented methFigure 2 Frequency chracteristics of reflection for d/a 0.5, c/a 0.6, and 2 354 MICROWAVE AND OPTICAL TECHNOLOGY LETTERS / Vol. 34, No. 5, September 5 2002 odology are presented. © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Time-domain Electric-field Integral Equation with Central Finite Difference

In this paper, we present a new formulation using the ( ) time-domain electric-field integral equation TD EFIE to obtain a transient scattering response from arbitrarily shaped conducting bodies. The time deri ati e of the magnetic ector potential is approximated with a central finite difference, and the scalar potential is time a eraged by di iding it into two terms. This approach with an impl...

Time-domain Analysis of Conducting Wire Antennas and Scatterers

In this work, a new method is presented for analyzing the transient electromagnetic response from conducting wire structures using the time-domain integral equation (TDIE). Instead of the conventional marching-on in time (MOT) technique, this solution method is based on Galerkin’s method, which involves separate spatial and temporal testing procedures. Piecewise triangle basis functions have be...

General Formulation to Investigate Scattering from Multilayer Lossy Inhomogeneous Metamaterial Planar Structures

This paper presents a general formulation to investigate the scattering from Multilayer Lossy Inhomogeneous Metamaterial Planar Structure (MLIMPS) with arbitrary number of layers and polarization. First, the dominating differential equation of transverse components of electromagnetic fields in each layers derived. Considering the general form of solution of the differential equations and the bo...

A Hybrid Control Method for Stable Operation of Active Power Filters in Three-Phase Four-Wire Networks

The main goal of this study is the use of Lyapunov’s stability theory to a three-phase four-wire shunt active power filter (SAPF), since this method has been applied effectively to other areas of converter. The dynamic model of the SAPF is first established, after that, a combination of fuzzy tracking control and Lyapunov function is suggested in order to impose a desired transient waveform on ...

Hydrodynamic damped pitch motion of tension leg platforms

Because of fluctuation in leg tension, pitch motion is very effective fatigue and life safety of leg elements in tension leg structures (TLSs). In this paper an exact solution for pitch vibration of a TLS interacting with ocean wave is presented. The legs of TLP are considered as elastic springs. The flow is assumed to be irrotational and single-valued velocity potentials are defined. The effec...
